Effective cable. , 5/26/12

This cable not only works as a stand alone two way radio interface with the proper adapters but was tested and worked well with another brand intercom that uses the 1/8 TRS connector plug. It is light weight and tends to fly at highway speeds but the construction does not feel flimsy and the strain reliefs should hold up for a long while. This cable does not include the PTT button. If you need the button look for the two way radio headset package as it is included and will save you money. A feature of the cable/headset/off brand intercom combination that I used is it kept the passenger mic hot, but only enabled the Driver mic when the PTT was activated. This maybe a good thing if you dont want your passenger hearing just how you feel about the driver of the car that insists on pulling out in front of you. It is a draw back if you are coupled to a two way radio and want to talk with your passenger, as it will broadcast to the two way also. Handy, well made cable.
