Tutotial - Pairing a Camos BTS Headset to a Stereo Bluetooth Adapter

Camos BTS headsets support A2DP Stereo Bluetooth and can be paired to a A2DP device (in this case a stereo Bluetooth adapter) for wireless audio.This tutorial covers the pairing procedure for a Camos BTA Bluetooth adapter.

01 Hold down the minus (-) button down for 7 seconds on the BTS headset. The Red light will begin to blink rapidly. (Pairing Mode)

02 On the BTA adapter hold down the P button for a period of 7 seconds, the red light will begin to blink rapidly. (Pairing Mode)

03 The units will eventually find each other and the red LED's will begin a sequence of double blinks.

Notes:

- The Camos BTS headset is also capable of having a Handsfree device paired to channel 1. (Usually a cell phone or GPS) The A2DP will have the lowest priority, and will be interrupted by intercom activation or phone call aceptance. The A2DP stream will resume when there are no phone calls, and the intercom is in standby.

Tutorial - Mounting the Camos BTS Module to the Helmet

The Camos BTS headsets have the most versatile mounting options available for aftermarket Bluetooth motorcycle helmet headsets.

For the Clip Mount

01 To mount the Camos BTS Bluetooth module via the clip mount, simple slide the clip in between the shell and liner, with the tabbed side facing out. The module will snap into place easily.

For the 3M Adhesive Mount

01 Find a clean location on your helmet where the BTS module will be easily accessible and remove the plastic adhesive cover. 

02 Press the mounting bracket firmly against the helmet the outside part of the bracket will mold to the contour of the helmet.

Tutorial - Pairing Two Camos BTS Headsets for Intercom

The Camos BTS headsets can be paired together on channel 2 for full duplex intercom. The intercom is voice activated and will override any A2DP source paired to channel 1. Once you have completed the procedure below the units will automatically connect.

01 On the first unit, hold the M button on the bottom of the unit.

02 While holding the M button down, hold the plus (+) button for 7 seconds, the green LED will begin to blink rapidly.(It is important to make sure the M button is held down the whole 7 seconds)

03 Take the second unit  and hold the plus button (+) button for 7 seconds until the green LED begins to blink rapidly.

04 At this point the green LED on both units should be flashing 2 times every second which means the units are paired and the intercom is active.

Notes:

- If there is no voice activity detected for 10 seconds the intercom goes into standby and needs to be reactivated by speaking into the microphone.

- When the units are power cycled or drop out of intercom range they will go into search mode for it's intercom partner (indicated by rapidly blinking light) and will reconnect when the partner unit is within intercom range or powered on.

Tutorials - Powering On and Off a BTS Headset

01 To power on Channel 1 or Channel 2, hold the minus (-) or plus (+) on the top of the unit respectively for 3 seconds. You will hear a series of ascending tones in the helmet headset when it is powered on. This will power the A2DP/Hands-Free (Channel 1) or Intercom (Channel 2) Channel.

02 At this point you will notice the LED blinking once every second this means the channel is powered on but not connected to another device (Channel 1) or headset (Channel 2) and in standby mode.

03To turn a Channel off, whether or not it is connected to another device, follow the same procedure. Hold the minus (-) or plus (+) button for 3 seconds to power off each channel. You will hear a series of descending tones in your helmet headset to indicate the channel has been powered down.

BHC 10 - Use Your Own Earbuds with the Camos Bluetooth Helmet Headset

The BHC 10 is the first product to allow motorcycle riders the option to use their own speakers or earbuds with a Bluetooth system. It may seem ironic that since the iMC has the best speakers of the Bluetooth helmet systems on the market, however some rider who have invested hundreds in hearing protection should have the ability to take advantage of the advanced technology found in the Camos Bluetoot helmet headsets.

 The BHC 10 plugs into the Camos BTS headset on one end, on the other end is a 2 pin microphone connector for the iMC microphone and on the also a 3.5mm headset jack for the rider to plug in their earbuds.

BHS 500 Bluetooth Helmet Headset Pairing with iPod

Step 1: Power on the Camos 500 by holding the minus (-) key until the red LED is blinking once every second. (If it is blinking multiple times per second, be sure to turn off any other devices the Camos is paired with, they can be turned back on later).

Step 2: Initiate pairing mode on the Camos by holding the plus (+) key until the red LED blinks rapidly.

Step 3: To put the wiRevo a100 in pairing mode the first time it is used, you may simply plug it into your iPod or iPhone and the unit will automatically enter pairing mode. The red LED will blink alternating red and blue. Once the connection is established the unit will blink blue. (note: if the connection is lost between the wiReco and Camos, simply press the button on the wiRevo a100 and it will search for the Camos, please refer to the wiRevo manual for more information).
